With all due respect to Harriet Tubman, why do we have this expectation that the people on our currency should be political figures? Many countries put writers, artists and composers on their banknotes. My favorite: Bosnia and Herzegovnia, which has a poet on every single denomination! (Ivo Andrić, their Nobel laureate, was better known for his fiction, but also published poetry.)
